Matthews Day Off
For Matthew's Day off, we recreated scenes from Ferris Bueller's Day off with the film's star, Matthew Broderick.
My role was around social strategy and content. We developed a blind teaser, :30, :60 and 2-minute version of the spot, with a strategic purpose for each.
I created an unbranded YouTube account and seeded it with other videos, likes, etc. Then, uploaded the teaser of Matthew opening the curtains, reprising one of the famous scenes from the movie.
We then seeded that to the press and influencers and it took off. Many national news outlets picked it up, while people guessed whether it was a sequel.
This consistently ranks as a top 10 of Superbowl commercials of all time, and pays off the Honda CR-V campaign of living life to the fullest.
